What is Vimshottari Dasha?
Vimshottari Dasha is a widely used planetary-period system in Vedic astrology. It divides life into a sequence of Mahadashas ruled by the nine grahas used in the system, with smaller sub-periods nested within them.
The starting balance depends on the Moon’s Nakshatra at birth. For interpretation, the ruling planet’s natal house placement, sign, strength, relationships and house lordship are considered along with current transits.
